Multiplying shortcuts

On XP home multiple shortcuts apear for all my picture
files without me making a shortcut. I thought it may be a
virus and have scanned with Nortons and Vet. No virus found
..I have cleaned up all spyware etc. Shortcuts apear for
picture folders and files. they have now filled my
desktop. HELP!

if you are not infact creating these shortcuts then you do have a virus or someone else is creating them on your computer

do an online virus scan at housecall.antivirus.com and you will find a viru
your virus scanner is not working or is out of date
