I am running Office 97 on Windows 2000 and XP. When I
choose an Excel file to open the pop up informs me that
the file is already open and asks if either I would like
to make a copy or informs me that I cannot open two files
with the same name even though they may be in separate
folders. As far as I can tell there is no other file open!
Addiitionally, I have noticed that when I create links
between files that are open. Some links, rather than
reflecting the currently open file, refer to another file
in the My Documents folder. Sort of like there is more
than one My Documents - a parallel universe if you will.
This is getting frustrating. HELP!
