Multiple Windows 'Shells'

Windows was originally installed on my Laptop into the 'C:/WINDOWS' folder, i
was experiencing problems and our computer technician at the time
re-installed windows btu in a diferent directory ie C:/WINXP. I am now
running the WINXP directory & would like to know if i must delete the
'C:/WINDOWS' folder or do i uninstall???? Please help!!!
