Tricky question. You can actually slipt all the files around but by default
I have use VS.Net 2002, VS.Net 2003 and also VS.Net 2005 Beta1 it is not
happening to me.

Why are there multiple project files for one project? There's one that seems
to be stored in documents and settings (windows xp) and like 2 in the
project itself. It doesn't seem to affect anything, only that I get
duplicate projects showing up on the Start Page, and each has its own memory
as far as what files I last had open. Any way to limit this nonsense to one
per project?

The "one that seems to be stored in documents and settings" is not a
project file, but a shortcut TO the project file.
