I just upgraded fom Office 2000 to Office XP 2002. Now
when I open Outlook, I have 2 sets of "Personal Folders"
matching my old data, and a "Personal Folder" that's
trying to point to Outlook1.pst. How do I get rid of the
duplicate and error file?

Further info:
I have these four sets of folders right now:
1. Archive Folders - I get an error message if I try to
open this ("Unable to display the folder. Microsoft
Outlook could not access the specified folder location.
The .DLL file for the information service could not be
found. MAPI was unable to load the information service
PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed
and configured.")
2. Outlook Today (Personal folders) - This is my correct
set of data folders for Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, etc.
3. Outlook Today (Personal folders) - This is an exact
duplicate of the first Outlook Today Personal Folders.
When email downloads, it appears in BOTH sets of personal
folders. When I delete mail from one, it's deleted in
both.
4. Personal folders - When I click on this I get an error
message ("Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook
could not access the specified folder location. The file
C:\Documents and Settings\Curt\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook1.pst could not be found.)
It's apparently trying to look for Outlook1.pst -- which
I don't have. Why?
Thanks.

Curt,
You have a damaged profile from the upgrade. Go to the control panel
and in the mail tab you can create a new profile.

Cheers
