In a powerpoint file with multiple Master Slides, how do I apply Master Slide
formatting to slides within a file?

a) I want to apply the Title Slide Master to slides within the presentation
(as headers to different sections)

b) I'd like to be able to apply a modified version of the Master Slide when
the contents crowd the Master Slide design.

Any ideas would be great!
Thank you!

This is a 2-step process. Assuming you have developed multiple masters, open
the SLIDE DESIGN pane. The top section USED IN THIS PRESENTATION shows a
thumbnail of the all master slides you developed.

Part two is changing slide layout (ie. from Title slide to title and text
content slide) or re-applying formatting. Open the SLIDE LAYOUT pane and
note the "reapply layout" option on each layout thumbnail.

With a bit of experimenting it should all make sense, but please detailed
questions if anything does not make sense.

I'm not totally sure that I fully understand question a), but just wanted to
mention that the Title Master controls only the slides that have had the "Title
Slide" layout applied to them. It's an automatic relationship. So maybe all
you need to do is select your section heading slides and go to Format > Slide
Layout and select the Title Slide layout. Does that work for you?

Thanks for your comments Sonia, I think you're right as long as i go to
Format > Slide Design rather than Slide Layout. Before Tony's post I hadn't
realized that feature.

Thanks!

People are always confusing that guy Tony and me.
