Multiple mapping of one drive.

Having a problem with a few machines mapping one drive multiple times. The
only differences I can tell with this drive and all the rest is, we have
multiple files that are shortcut to other directories on this drive. This
isn't OS specific, it's happening on XP, 2000 and NT. Any idea?
