Multiple IRQ assignments

My system seems a little slower than normal and I notice that I have 6 IRQ's
assigned to IRQ-9.
My question is: can I arbitrarily assign 5 of them to other unassigned IRQ
addresses without causing conflicts?

I believe all the high-numbered IRQs come in through IRQ9. Noodling
with these can cause problems. Old devices are not able to be
multiplexed so if you move a device off of 9 and onto, say, 3, that
device and the modem on 3 could lock against each other.

IRQ sharing is a normal occurrence and works very well. To disable, you'll
have to reinstall the OS without acpi support in cmos setup.
