Recently, my computer has taken to doing something odd.
Whenever I have more than 5 or so windows open (no matter
what they are: MSIE, Word documents, etc.) my computer
will refuse to do anything. It will stop opening new
windows, it won't save images from the web, it won't save
my .doc files, and it won't let me do anything in my art
programs. When I open the task manager, I see 6-10
instances of iexplorer.exe and each is taking anywhere
from 25k-65k of memory. Even if I only have one MSIE
window open and I close it, my task manager still says I
have multiple instances of it running. When I End Task the
iexplorer.exe instances in Task Manager, my computer runs
fine, but a few minutes later it acts up again and the
iexplorer.exe is back in my Task Manager.
I've done a virus scan and nothing's come up. Might anyone
have a solution to this issue? Should I reinstall my OS?
(I have 768 Mb of RAM)
