I have a Compaq Presario notebook computer with Windows XP Home Edition. My
computer has been doing this periodically for the last couple of months, but
it's getting worse. Sometimes when I click on one folder or document, every
single one in the current window opens! Also, my keyboard shortcuts stop
working when this happens, anything I type appears in all caps, and if I try
to highlight something to delete it or copy it the entire document
highlights. If I shut down and restart it usually clears it up, but I want to
know what's causing it in the first place so I can fix it. Is this a software
problem, or is something wrong with my hardware?
