Multiple Email Address Switch from Express to Outlook

Hi,
I have several email addresses for home business and volunteer work using
Outlook Express. I have read past postings regarding how to switch from
Express to Outlook, but that spoke to a single email address. Having several
email accounts creates questions for me.

I have one current Outlook account set up (the primary, first account I
established)and it accepts email when I open it. However, I cannot find the
account name anywhere on that Outlook page. DO I have to create an entirely
new set of six additional email accounts from scratch in Outlook before
trying to export/import address books and folders? My early experimentation
indicates the Outlook may have a problem keeping the data from each account
isolated from the others. True, or am I missing something?

Also, it appears there may be one or two "old" email accounts lingering in
the system because I am asked for a password for those acounts in Outlook
that I cannot find elsewhere.

Thank you in advance,
Will

Version of OL helps when posting.
Presumably OE is working on this PC, with mail and all accounts if so;
In OL Import Accounts/Addresses
In OE export mail (This keeps the modified dates intact)
OL has a single Personal Folder that contains all mail and contacts, there
are subfolders, eg Inbox and Sent
In order to seperate mail from different accounts you can create account
specific folders, then create rules to move mail when it is sent / received.
You can also organise your contacts by category.

Thank you, DL. Earlier today I looked at trying the Rules approach and when
satisfied that it might help, I started to create inbox folders to which I
would make rules apply to segregate the incoming mail.
However, it then became obviouse to me: where would I put all of the
important mail-holding files I need to move from the old OE? I have several
files in each of my OE identities. Exporting/importing them to a single
Outlook 2003 page would create a very long list of files and I fear would mix
them all together as happened when I transferred inbox email from a secondary
identity that landed on the "common" inbox page. It appears that multiple
account/profile holders are better off with OE.
As an alternative, can I simply use Outlook 2003 for one secondary email
address (for bulk emailing clients from home) and retain OE for the other
POP3 comcast accounts? Or, will the secondary Outlook 2003 account/profile
still download all of my email from all of my POP3 accounts?
"Switch Identity" options in OE would have been realyy helpful in Outlook
2003 from MS!
Thanks,
Will

OL uses Profiles, OE uses Identities
OL will only 'see' mail for the email account that is setup
Personnally I have OL set up with some 8 email accounts, a mix of two
businesses and personal accounts. Organising the folders/mail doesnt cause
me any problems, but then I'm not bulk mailing.

Thanks, DL. I just decided to put my business account in OL and kept the rest
in OE. Life is better. I still think it silly to send all email to one page
or then have to set up rules, go to Control Panel (different posting) and the
like. After all, my email addresses are each for unique purposes so I'm not
going to want to see them at the same time or even the same day of the week.
Sigh. Thanks again. Will
