I want to create at least two e-mail accounts in my outlook. My
problem is that I want two seperate inboxes. I know I can just use
filter. The problem with that is that it gets frustrating when e-mail
comes in from mailing lists and doesnt fit the filter. Any ideas are
appreciated.
Thanks,
Ari W.

The only way you can do this in Outlook is to set up a separate profile for
each email address. The only downside on this is that you have to close
Outlook completely before switching profiles.

you didnt specify the version of Outlook Outlook 2003 lets you set up a
rule based on the internet account the mail is coming from, so you can send
mailing list mail from a specific email account toa specific folder. Dont
"remember" if OL XP or 2000 had the 'internet" option. I do know that
exLife Pro an add in that i used in OL 2000, XP and now 2003, expands the
rules capability and lets you direct emails to folders based on many
different criteria including which internet account it comes from. The
product is now called Inbox Rules from http://www.ornicusa.com/ and i
used it extensively with management of mailing lists, and it works with the
built in rules provided with Outlook if you desire that, or as a standalone.
Separate profiles is a much too cumbersome solution.
