Multiple copies of files

HeeLLLLP!!
I have officeXP home
Installed SP2 from disc. Installed latest Office xp updates. Kapersky
anti-virus detected 2 trojans which I have now deleted. BUT.. had four
wierd files in my documents and every time I try to delete them I get
multiple copies!

I now have over 200 copies of these four files and cant delete them! What
can I do?

What are the names (with extensions) of the files?

I'm not as much offering a solution as I am adding to the discussion. I'm
having the same type of problem, but in much broader terms.

XP seems to be copying files without any rhyme or reason. I'm getting three
or four copies of every graphic file on my computer; everytime I save an
Excel file, it makes a read only copy of it (I now have four or five copies
of every Excel file); it's now making multiple copies of my printer drivers,
and only one of them works with my printer. Unfortunately it's not always
the same copy of the printer driver, so I have to try each of them out to
find the right one.

I've reinstalled XP twice now, and it remains stable for a while, but then
the problem starts up again.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
