I'm currently using Windows XP Home Edition (in Korean)
but I want to install Windows XP Professional (in
English). But I'm worried that I won't be able to run
programs that only run in Korean. I was searching
through this site and I found something called
Multilingual User Interface.

I was wondering if it's already installed on the retail
version of Windows XP Pro (in English) or if I could
download the file and install it myself. I was also
wondering if MUI supports programs that run in different
languages (Normally, the menus o those programs have ????
marks instead of normal Characters).

Thank You.

"The Windows XP Multilingual User Interface Pack is an add-on
to the English version of Windows XP Professional and is available
only with the English version of Windows XP Professional via volume
licensing programs to corporate users and OEMs. Windows XP
Multilingual User Interface Pack is not available as a full packaged
product in the retail channel."

You'll have to purchase the "Full English Version" of Windows XP,
reformat your drive and install it "clean". The alternative is to
create a dual-boot configuration which requires an available,
empty partition. You can purchase and use Partition Magic 8
(www.powerquest.com) to accomplish this.

If you have a desktop computer, or a notebook computer that
will accept a second hard drive, you can install a second hard
drive and install the "Full English Version" on it and end up
with a dual language boot configuration.
