I am using Windows XP home edition.
On my task bar there is a "multidesk -- desktop 1" icon which I would like
to remove but have been unable to find any way of doing it.
I must own up that I was experimenting (playing) to get it there.
Can anyone please help.

Jake,
The way you post makes it look like the first line is part of the post you
are replying to. You need to space down at least one space below the ">" and
two spaces is better.
If you look above, you will see the difference.

thank you for replying to my message, I checked the website you suggested
but I was hoping to undo the function that put the icon on the taskbar
rather than just delete the icon.
