Do XP Home, Pro, & MCE have the capability to make use of multiple
processors? I've been led to believe that XP Home does not.

Professional and MCE, yes--two processors. Home only one.

Id say ken blake is incorrect,as i know xp home does allow 2 processors
to run, also any computer that runs hyperthreading with xp home, the OS
will show 2 processors running together...

Wrong, Andrew. Windows XP Home supportss only a single processor. See, for
example, http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/highlights/multicore.mspx which
states

"Windows XP Professional can support up to two processors regardless of the
number of cores on the processor. Microsoft Windows XP Home supports one
processor."

also any computer that runs hyperthreading with xp
home, the OS will show 2 processors running together...

Although hyperthreading will be reported as multiple processors,. it's *not*
multiple processors. XP Home supports hyperthreading, but *not* more than
one processor.

To clarify, Home support only 1 PHYSICAL Processor (hyperthreaded and dual
core is still 1 physical processor, but 2 LOGICAL ones), others support
two PHYSICAL processors (so, if they're hyperthreaded/dual-core that's 4
LOGICAL processors).
