Using two different programs (from different suppliers) when I close a file
without saving first, the standard popup "do you want to save filename?" is
in German instead of english. It is only these two programs that are doing
this (that I've found so far). All other programs, the popup messages are in
english. Any ideas on how to get it back to english?

I suspect that the messages are embedded in these
programs themselves. You may have to install the
English versions to resolve the problem.

I have contacted the software supplier for one of the programs. They said
that it is using a standard windows pop up. And since it is giving the exact
same message on two different programs from two different suppliers, I think
they are right. Any other ideas???

It seems that at least one of your system libraries is in German rather
than in English. You could try to identifiy it by using Start / Search to
look for the offending text, then replacing it with the correct version
from your Win2000 CD. I recommend you just rename the old versions
rather than deleting them, to avoid crippling your system.
