How do I save (i.e. export) my customized settings for MSWord. I am in the
process of formatting and reinstalling everything on my CPU. To speed things
up, I would like to save the personalized settings for Word so that I can
re-load them when I am finished, as opposed to manually resetting the
customizations.
Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, but the information contained in that document and
the linked documents merely pointed out that the authors known methods for
saving the custom settings are not comprehensive. I am looking for something
that is more certain and thorough. For example, I know this is possible with
Excel... Still, thanks

Erik

That's why the article was written - Word's settings are not all stored in
the one place.

Can you tell us what customizations you are trying to save besides macros,
AutoText entries, toolbar and menu customizations and custom menus and
toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, document layout, and styles (saved in
Normal.dot and other templates), AutoCorrect entries (stored in Normal.dot
and .acl files, which can be backed up with a macro), Options and
AutoCorrect Options settings (saved in the Registry), and custom spelling
dictionaries, all of which are discussed in the article?

It doesn't appear to cover custom labels, but I have a page on my web site
about those ;)
