MSNPST Files

I have successfully relocated my Outlook.PST file from its default location
(<drive>\Document and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook) to a more convenient folder, using the instructions
provided at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011124801033.aspx.

However, the MSNPST files generated by “Outlook Connector for MSN†continue
to be created in the original default location (<drive>\Document and
Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook).

How do I instruct Outlook (or Outlook Connector for MSN) on where these
MSNPST files are to be located?

Thank you for your assistance.

The solution that I employed was to create hardlinks to the existing .MSNPST
files in the new folder, using the Windows FSUTIL tool.

Note that if the profile is recreated, the connector will now make ost
files, not msnpst.

this should work for imap too... although I'm not sure most people should be
using this tool.
