MSN Messnger 4.7 resident in Memory

Dear Sirs

Thanks for great support u deliver to users .. the I've
a MSN Messenger Probelm .. i was having MSN Messenger
4.7 ready installed on Windows XP Professinal Edition ..
then i installed from the internet MSN Messneger 6.0 form
MSN Website .. when i restarted my PC i found that MSN
Messnger 4.7 still running in the Back ground [ resident
in memory ].. i removed it from Start Up
in "msconfig.exe" utility .. but it's still running .. my
freinds told me that it may be a service .. i went to
Services from Admin. Tools .. and i disabled it as can
use MSN Messenger 6 isntead .. but after restarting my PC
the Problem remains .. Now every time i open my PC i
found MSN Messenger 4.7 still resident in memeroy .. i
had to unload it from the "Task Manager" log on to the
internet then i run MSN Messnger 6 .. it must first
signme out from the old MSN Messnger 4.6 service .. then
the MSN Messnger 6 Logs on ..

I want to uninstall MSN Messenger 4.7 from my system
and use MSN Messnger 6 instead .

You're confusing Windows Messenger 4.7 (Which isn't any MSN version) with MSN Messenger 6.0, and I suspect you're seeing the MSN version runing in TM.

Open MSN, tools, options, then under General tab, uncheck it's automatic startup abilities. I have found that after doing that, and closing the MSN version, it still remains in the taskbar. Just right click on the MSN taskbar icon, and choose exit. If you want to rid of 4.7 totally, and you're sure, post back.
