I'm tring to use MSN Messenger and be able to have my
contact connect to my machine, but I'm unable to get this
to work. I've looked in the Help menu in MSN Messenger
and it said click Actions, then click Remote Assistance
and select the contacts you want to invite. Okay I did
that and the contact accepted my invitation but it's like
nothing appears to happen after that.

The Help menu says the Remote Assistance Program opens
and the contact must take control in order to use my
computer. I'm having trouble getting this part to work
unless I need to do something or doing something wrong. I
do have "Allow users to connect to my computer" checkbox
enabled. I'm on a local area connection via a cable
connection. No firewalls are enabled on this host
machine. Both computers are running Windows XP Pro and
using MSN Messenger 6. I removed Windows Messenger if
this matters.

hi you must have Windows Messenger 4.7 install but do not need it runing
to use Remote Assistance Program.
i hope this helps
