What happened to MS NetMeeting function in MSN Messenger 6.0? Actually, what
happened to NetMeeting that came with XP? It's not in the start menu,
however I found it in Program Files\NetMeeting. NetMeeting is hard to use if
use on it's own. How do I know the address of my friend?

I turn booted up in Win98SE (NetMeeting is in the START menu). I loaded up
MSN Messenger 5.0 (for Win98). Yippee! There's a Start NetMeeting function
for each contact. Why is this not in Messenger 6.0 for XP?

Wow, read those articles on differences between MSN
Messenger and Windows Messenger. Makes sense. But still I
loaded up Windows Messenger (XP 3.5 auto updated to 4.7)
and there was no link to NetMeeting. Does anyone have
this problem aswell?

Also, I went to www.microsoft.com download pages. Looks
like there's last version of Windows Messenger is 4.7 for
XP. Then there's Windows Messenger 5.0 (unknown Win??)

I do believe MS is getting out of the netmeeting
business. In fact, I heard they were going to close down
all those servers that were online to support netmeeting
customers.

Hi Simon,

Windows Netmeeting (as it's called in Windows XP) is a function of Windows Messenger (you can
turn this option on in Windows Messenger 4.x and Windows Messenger 5.x) -- it is not a
function of MSN (Messenger) and as such, isn't listed.
