MSN Messenger 6.0

Hello....
I have tried to download the new messenger to my
desktop pc and it always gives me an error message :
missing 1601 and tells me to go to MSN Messenger web site
and download from there. So the last time I did just
that and it still gives me a message to do the same.
I run windows xp and I have currently running
messenger 5.0 Would the problem be that I have messenger
running when I am trying to download the new messenger,
or is there something else wrong?
I would like to use the new messenger and all its
new cool things so I need some help to get the download
going.....

i also get the same error msg. in fact i even was able to

extract the setup file from the .exe file but i have a
probs with the WINDOWS INSTALLER FUNCTION. and cuz of that
u seem to have the MSN 5 but i still work on WINDOWS
MESSENGER 4.7 cuz i cant install any .msi file. Have any
idea wt to do about my case.
