MSN Messenger 6.0

I recently installed MSN Messenger 6.0. It seems to lag when I first log
in. Does anyone else have this problem? I never had this problem with
versions 4 or 5. Anyone know how to fix it?

Yup, thought so. I'm trying to resolve a performance issue here. Even if I
open MSN Messenger my system lags for about 10 seconds. There's a
fix/patch/update within SP1 which is doing this and I'm as determined as
hell to find it. Don't think there's much you can do right now. Uninstall
SP1 maybe.

I had the same problem.
I found that I had Ver 4.7 still installed and Messenger 6.0 was in the
Add/Remove part of Control Panel. I removed 6.0 and returned to 4.7 and
everything is running A-OK.
 
I found with 6.0 that I could not use the Audio fuction to talk to someone
with 5.0. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem I went back to
version 5.
