MSN messenger 6.0 icon

How can I put the MSN messenger 6 icon onto my internet toolbar. I have recently downloaded this, and can run it from my start menu, but I can't move it to the internet toolbar, where the old messenger icon is. If I click on the old messenger icon it still runs the old one. Please help.

I assume you mean the Internet Explorer Toolbar? You can add MSN Messenger 6 to the IE
toolbar by closing all your Internet Explorer windows,
then downloading and running this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/msn6_ietoolbar.reg

You'll need to the edit the file in notepad and change the drive letter if your MSN Messenger
is not located in C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger.

I just know how to get rid of the old icon. In Internet Explorer, right
click the toolbar, click customize, highlight the Messenger icon in the
right column, and click remove. Then click close. I hope I was of some
help.
