System Information:
-XP SP1
-512MB SDRAM
-Had Office 2003, but removed it.

The problem is that whenever I start MSN, I sign in, it dials, connects, and then opens the MSN explorer, but after about a minute or two, it just closes, no error messages, no nothing, the connection stays open, but no window. Also internet exploere hangs and closes with a error sending report everytime I try to do something. I found that disableing scripts fixed the prob with MSN but only for a couple hours, it then started closing with errors like IE. I have updated IE to IE 6.0 3 times, I have completely removed and reinstalled MSN 3 or 4 times, both from the CD and from the internet. MSN 6 had no problems at all. I am currently using Mozilla for a web browser, and it is working fine so far. I don't know if there is any updates for windows, because whenever I try to update windows, it only says there are 18 updates, when I try to click on the link, it hangs, and closes.

Any help would be greatly apreciated!!!

Have you checked your harddrive for spyware using either adaware or spybot?
Have you tried using a system restore point before the problems occured?
Did you try closing down programs running in the background to see if any of
these are conflicting with MSN or IE explorer?
Have you tried scanning your computer for viruses via the internet?
Sometimes viruses effect the antivirus software itself and it does not pick
up the virus.
Did this problem occur after the removal off Office 2003?
Have you run a chkdsk on your system?
