OK, I have a question about the differences between MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger, and Windows Messenger with the MSN add in.

We have XP and Windows Messenger. My son's friends have MSN and you can format the background and "skins" and all this stuff the young people like. Do you get this functionality with the add-in? (do I already have it without the add-in? I don't think so).

With MSN Messenger do you have to have a hotmail account?

Any information is very much appreciated - thanks!

Greetings,

No, you don't get this functionality with the Add-In. All the Add-In adds is support for
Hotmail, MSN Profiles and MSN Mobile.

MSN Messenger does not require a Hotmail account -- all it needs is a .NET Passport account,
which are the same as what you use in Windows Messenger (they both use the same network).
