I have tried loading MSN 8 number of times on my XP Home Edition. It installs OK. But using it is a bear. Most of the times MSN starts plays the welcome and then just hangs. Other times it will start and say MSN explorer has experienced problem and will close. Clicking on the details of the error always shows module wininet.dll. I have cl;eaned the machine for spyware etc... done whatever i could , but cannot get the MSN 8 to work.

Any help would be appreciated

Why do you want to use the MSN software? Why don't you use Internet
Explorer to surf the web, and Outlook or Outlook Express to send and receive
email? Or any other browser and email client, for that matter? The MSN
software is not required to connect to your ISP. I would uninstall the MSN
software and call my ISP to have them walk you through setting up IE and OE
(or Outlook) on your system. If you insist on installing MSN then I would
suggest giving them a call. They may be able to help you get it up and
running.

You would probably have more luck getting an answer if you posted your
question to an msn newsgroup.
