Opens Help and Support. Can only access by using Start/Run/ commands from
Kelly's site. Help. TIA

There used to be a batch file available for download, apparently not
available any more.

Try this:
Open Notepad | Paste this in:

C:\
cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo
msinfo32 /categories +all -loadedmodules

Name it:
msinfo_force_run.bat
Or name it whatever you want as long as the extension is:
..bat
Save it where ever | Create a shortcut | Place the shortcut in your
Start Menu, Desktop or where ever.
Click the shortcut to open msinfo32.
Saves typing it in the Start | Run box every time.

Yes - I've had to use it several times in the past.

It's either msinfo_force_run.bat or type it in the Run box. :-(
I've had to use this on both Pro and Home. One of the Critical
Updates breaks msinfo32, don't know which one. Or even care.

Thanks for all the info. You guys are the best! Unfortunately nothing worked
except running from Start/run/ everytime to open Sys Info. For other reasons
I had to reinstall XP and the situation is now back to normal. I am
carefully installing updates tho incase the problem came from there. Thanks
again, Susan

Susan,

All the batch file does is automate the Start | Run procedure.
Anything that you type into the Run box can be placed in a batch file.
