msinfo32.exe

This program fails to start. I believe it requires another file which may be
missing or corrupted for it to function. Does anyone know what this file is
and where it should be located?

Go to Start > Run and type: services.msc , and hit enter.
Scroll down to "Windows Management Instrumentation",
right-click on this service and select
Properties > Startup type > Automatic, then Start the service.

Thanks for the response. I already checked out this possibility and got no
positivre results. When the msinfo32.exe is run nothing happens and I do not
get any error message. Also the Windows Management Instrumentation program
has been running. I tried restarting it with no success. I believe the
msinfo32 program requires a file to be present that stores the collected
information and it may not be present or is corrupted.
