I recently deleted some programs and did a no no. When
asked to delete certain files I answered 'yes all'.
Now when I reboot I get a message that I'm missing file:
msinet.ocx .
My question is two fold: 1) Where can I get the file, 2)
when I get it what do I do to reinstall it?
I've got windows XP.
Thanks
Will

MSINET.OCX

Download the file from here (select Save As): http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/msinet.cab

Then, copy both files from the file you downloaded to any folder (but make sure you copy both to the
same folder). To do this, highlight both files, right-click and select "copy". Then go to any folder
and right-click and select "paste".

Right-click on the MSINET.INF file that you have now extracted and select "Install".

MSCOMCTL.OCX

UPDATE: There is now an easier method that you can use to install this file if it is missing. Simply
download and run the following MSCOMCTL Installer, available on the Javacool Software website, and
it will copy and register the file for you.

Manual instructions on how to install the file are available below, if you would like to take that
route.
