msiInstaller problem

when i try to install certain games onto my comp. i get

Product: Race Driver -- Error 1311.Source file not found
(cabinet): E:\anim.cab. Verify that the file exists and
that you can access it.

or

Product: Chrome -- Error 1311.Source file not found
(cabinet): D:\DataMu~1.cab. Verify that the file exists
and that you can access it.

or

Product: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness --
Error 1311.Source file not found(cabinet):
F:\Release.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you
can access it.

these (.cab) files are there on the disk and can be
manually accessed via explorer.

please help as i have $270 worth of games that can not be
installed.

i have taken these disks to my friends house who also has
XP and they worked fine on his comp.

please somebody what is going on here?

Are the games built for Win9x or WinXP
Can you give a little more info please
