I create a menu with Front Page and for viewing movies, etc., from my hard
drive. Since applying XP Home SE2, I tells me that Security if preventing me
from downloading newly added files. One is *.WMV and two are *.ASF. I also
fiind that some of the "Recommended??" security levels are being forced at
high levels. How do I get back to using web page menues for my data as this
has worked great prior to XP SE2.

Thanks for any assistance

Hi

Most likely caused by "Local Machine Zone Lockdown" that SP2
introduces.

You might want to read the chapter "Internet Explorer Local Machine
Zone Lockdown" in document 05_CIF_Browsing.doc

05_CIF_Browsing.doc ("Changes to Functionality in Microsoft Windows XP
Service Pack 2, Part 5: Enhanced Browsing Security") can be downloaded
from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...d7-b791-40b6-8364-685b84158c78&DisplayLang=en

Note: WinXPSP2_Documentation.zip contains all the .doc downloads...

If you can't get the "Mark of the Web" technique described in
05_CIF_Browsing.doc to work, you might get something out of
this thread:

Thanks for the input and I'll try both the documentation and that found at
the link you provided at Google. It seems to suggest a simple Reg Edit to
get me back in business until something better comes along. Have a great
week and again, thanks.
