MSI - need a tutorial

I can't seem to find any exact info on tweaking Setup projects (for MSI
files) to specify that your app gets added to the start/programs menu or has
a desktop shortcut created etc.

Did you create the setup project using VS.NET?

It's VB.NET Standard edition..

It's VB.NET Standard edition..

I am not sure if it will work in the Standard Edition. Open the setup
project in VB.NET, then have a look at the buttons on top of the
solution explorer. You will find various options here to add shortcuts,
copy files and make registry entries while the setup process.
