Larry

I am running XP and IE6 with all of the service packs and
updates on it. I keep getting an mshtml.dll on an
annoyingly regular basis which shuts down IE. I have
replaced the dll, run a repair, removed IE and
reinstalled it again from a different source, and it
still shuts down. It doesn't matter what web site I am on
or browsing or not. Any help in this matter would be
greatly appreciated. Also I am running Norton System
Works 2002.

Larry,
This is probably being caused by one or more parasite programs.
Download and run run CWShredder from
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

You may have to follow CWS with Ad-aware and Spybot S&D:
See:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the security tips on that page.

There are other possible causes for mshtml errors:
