Network worked fine (win xp pro on both, sp 1)(just two computers sharing
Internet connection and printer) until I started getting viruses on both (Let
Norton lapse duh). Had lot's of weird problems but Network seemed to work.
Installed PC Safe and have had network trouble since.

I removed PC Safe from both computers and tried MS beta with no improvement
then went to panda titanium but still can't see the other computer. Had so
much trouble I Diskparted C on the other (client I guess) so it's clean. I
ran sfc /scannow a couple times with no improvement. When I try to see the
other computer the msg reads: MSHome is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this resource. Contact admin.....an internal error occured.

In addition, some where along the line something got corrupted in MS Office.
When I click on any icon on the tool bar I get: "The application or DLL
C:\windows\system32\aaaaa.dll is not a valid windows image. Check against
your installation diskette. Don't know if this relates or if it's indicative
of the overall trouble.

What to do. My kids use the other computer regularly and can't print
anything or access the Internet? One more thing. I have yet to be able to
download sp2 successfully.

Bill,

If you just un installed PC Safe (which is on Eric's list
<http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm>), you could well have LSP
/ Winsock problems.
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/problems-with-lsp-winsock-layer-in.html>

Then do some diagnostic work.
