I have a problem.
the program msgsms.exe keeps opening ports in my firewall (the default
firewall in xp pro) I uncheck it and when i restart i find it checked again.
I delete the entrys completely and after a few reboots it is back on. this
gets really anoying.
anyways i found out about these open ports by using the msbsa tool.
how in the world do i fix this issue? the mesenger service is not what is
causing this I know, and for some reason I cant "actualy" uninstal windows
messenger as i would msn messenger
ps.(my pc is clean of viruses, trogens and spyware stuff)

sorry if this took so long. In the past I have attemted to disable Windows
messenger, but found that there where too many side effects. What I wished
to do is PREVENT msmsgs from OPENING ports in my ICF.
if your still watching this thread let me know.
