Work on this stopped as a result of several issues, partly due to the
questions of servicing it (anyone remember Slammer?). And since we're
not SQL experts, any effort to deliver a componentized version of MSDE
would have to include buyoff from the SQL team.
As of today, there is no work being done to componentize MSDE.
