Disc Doctor on my new computer with Windows XP, Office 97, Quicken 2004, &
Norton Utilities and Firewall gives me the following error message:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\
InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe
cannot access a necessary file: mscoree.dll.
I cannot find "mscoree.dll" on my hard disc or any of the source CD s.
Where can I find this missing file to insert in the appropriate place? (The
only malfunction I have come across so far is the inability to spell check
this, or any other e-mail, message.

Another terrible answer. MSCOREE.DLL is not a Symantec file, it is a
windows system file. In order to install it, you must download and install
dotNET framework from the Microsoft site.

You have no dotnet framework detected. Dotnetinstaller is
the startup exe file for dotnet framework. To stop this you
need to remove the appropriate lines from "shared dlls" in
the registry. Also any reference to dotnet in the MUI
sections.
