I have some annoying programs that I want to get rid of in my startup. When I
go into msconfig, selective startup is always selected. If I select normal
startup and disable the programs I want stopped and hit apply I will restart
and it is back in selective startup with all the programs I do not want
selected. I can change the startup close msconfig and open back up and
everything is changed back. What can I do ?

:-) When you disable the programs you don't want to run THAT makes it a
selective startup! Selecting a normal startup enables everything.
