MSCONFIG problems

Created new copies of regedit,msconfig with Doug Knox emergency utility.
Regedit works fine but when I try MSCONFIG it appears for split second then
it's gone. Help !

Was this in response to a virus infection? Did you get your computer
completely cleaned up? Repost to this thread with details for further
help.

Is there away to make the window full screen size? Other windows os have
the maximize option, but not in XP.
