I need help!!!! These spyware things are going to be the
death of me. They have embedded their files in my start
up list... in msconfig. I need to know the files that
are necessary to start up and how to get rid of these
pesky spyware files!

Any suggestions.

Diana

No files need to be checked in the startup tab of msconfig
to run winXP.

You might want to leave anti virus & firewall there.

Define "need" before you give advice that may be potentially
dangerous.
Some people "need" processes others do not.
Your needs certainly do not reflect my needs and probably do not
reflect the needs of the OP.

.
If you go to RUN,type msconfig, then OK..you access the
startup choices and there..if you know the spyware you
want to disable at startup, just uncheck and do OK. The
computer will restart and they should be gone from
startup. Another option is to go to the SpySweeper
websight and download the trial version for free...it'll
scan and remove the spyware found.
