MS Word (and other apps) trigger Security Dialog in OL 2002

When I create, forward or reply to an email in OL 2002 for the first time
each day, I get the security dialog "a program is trying to access your
email addresses." I use MS Word 2002 as my email editor.

Subsequent attempts to create, forward and reply do not trigger this dialog.

Also, my phone sync program does the same thing every time.
I sometimes have had the problem with activesync.

Any explanations?

TIA
Michael

Sure :)
If you want to write a mail with word, it needs to know the Mailadress
of the receipient. So it has to get access to Outlook. Outlook detects
that and informs ou (to chek i it is correct).
You may think, that it makes no sense. But waht if a pop up says
"BadMailVirus wants to access Outlook"? :)
Then you'll be happy about this dialog.

So its only for your security.

regrads, enno

No, Outlook never routinely puts up security prompts for such basic tasks as
sending a message. The dialog is being caused by another program on
Posterchild's system that interacts with Outook.

acro updates had reset it to 3.

Thanks

now if I could only get it to let nokia suite read them too!!

Been there..done that..
Nokia is a bit brain dead on the subject. When my PC goes to hibernate, it
forgets the Bluetooth settings. I don't think they understand the concept of
API's :)
