Is there any freeware alternative to MS Publisher, to design and print

Isn't MS Publisher a GREAT program?

Serif has a very usable DTP program. It's called Page Plus. It's an older
version, and is registerware. I have never found it wanting.

Open Office dot Org (OOo) also has a drawing program that behaves a lot like
a DTP program. It works great too. Both excel at dragging and dropping
pictures and creating text boxes. They are very flexible about moving things
freeform around the page, and are great for printing digital photos.
