MS problem error -recd in MS Works

Hope someone can help me with the problem I'm
experiencing - When I'm typing in MS Works - message comes
up - MS works has caused an error in (unknown) MS works
will now close down - it closes down & I lose all my
work. Tried saving it but when I go back into the
document I receive the same message & it closes down -
tried copying & pasting document but receive the same
message - therefore unable to use ms works program. I
have MS Windows 2000 - Any suggestions on what to do -
Desperately seeking answer - as I need this program for
work & school.
 
Nothing to do with the operating system. Better to post in works.win
