Recently my Outlook has shown for example 6 messages incoming and only 4 or 5
arrive, or as just happened 1 message about 87kb came in and just didn't
appear in the inbox or anywhere else.
Anyone had any idea of where these messages are going, or is my problem with
my ISP?

Best asked in an Outlook newsgroup. Remember to state
the exact version of Outlook you use.

Three points, 1. Considering the number of questions on this group about
Outlook Express, I didn't think it was out of line to ask an OUTLOOK QUESTION!
2. If there is an Outlook newsgroup, I have yet to find it
3. I am running Outlook 2003 sp2 version

Here is the Outlook newsgroup: microsoft.public.outlook

Have you checked the Junk email folder in Outlook? Maybe the one's that did
not appear in the Inbox ended up in the junk folder due to the filters.

Thank you for that information, I had actually found that group after my last
post. There is nothing appearing in the Junk Mail or Spam folders.

Outlook and Outlook Express are two totally different programs. OE is
installed with the OS. Outlook is an application that is installed
separately so there is ample justification why Outlook questions are not
handled in this newsgroup. Besides, the experts for Outlook don't hang out
here - they hang out in their own group, so Pegasus was doing you a favor in
trying to direct you to the group where you would get the best assistance.
Posters with questions on Outlook Express are often times referred to the OE
newsgroup as well. It depends on the question.

Here is a list of MS public newsgroups. It is always best to post questions
in the most applicable newsgroup.

Good luck.
