I have this Word document that someone saved before me with an MS Outlook
toolbar and I can't figure out how to delete it. Help!

Hi Patty

I don't know how an Outlook Express toolbar could find its way into the Word
application. But if you are seeing a toolbar that you don't want, then View
Toolbars and un-tick the one you don't want to see. However, if what you
are seeing is like an email header, with places to insert an email address,
subject etc, then do File > Send To > Mail Recipient (this is a toggle: to
send the document to someone, do File > Send To > Mail Recipient).

For what it's worth, Outlook and Outlook Express are entirely different
applications, unrelated to one another. Outlook Express comes free as part
of Internet Explorer, and does email and news. Outlook is part of Microsoft
Office and does email, calendar, tasks and contacts. It's not the first time
Microsoft has named products in a very confusing way!

Hope this helps.

Hey there! Thanks for replying! Okay yes it is an e-mail header. I tried
to right click and uncheck the header to make it go off (that;s the first
thing I tried) and there is nothing checked that will make it come off. Just
other things like STANDARD, FORMATTING, etc. the ususal. What will it be
called? Can I send you the document?

Okay I am not sure we are talking about the same thing. When I do what you
just aid to do, it brings me into a Lotus Notes (which is my e-mail software)
new mail message as if I were going to send to someone.

This outlook header is like a toolbar -when I right click it I get the
toolbar list but all the ones that are checked aren't what this header is.
In other words, it isn't a "drawing" toolbar, it isn't a "formatting
toolbar," etc. Does that make any sense?

I wish there was a way I could send you the file.

See if you have an E-mail button on your Standard toolbar; if so, click on
it. This toggles the mail header.
