Hi

I have just set up Windows XP on my computer but when I
tried to install MS Office 2000 Pro on to it, it said:

"Setup failed to located a valid qualifying product"

Can anyone tell me what a valid qualifying product is and
what I need to do next. Thanks. Stephen

Unless you have a "qualifying product" installed, you cannot
install the Upgrade Version of Office 2000.

Greetings --

You need to have an earlier version of Office installed (or at
least the CD in hand) in order to qualify for the Upgrade.

A MS Works Suite CD with Word is a qualifying product for installing Office 2K. When the install asks for it put it in the CD drive.
