MS Internet Explorer Provided By ISP issue

Internet Explorer screens are identified as "Provided by AT&T Worldnet
Service" due to installation of the ISP connection software following my
purchase of a new system. Now I have changed ISP services and the "provided
by" identifier remains the same. I realize this permits the ISP to insert
their own Favorites website pages. Is the only way this can be changed is
to reinstall my Windows XP (SP1) operating system?

Hello Robert,

I would left click and delete any favourites inserted by your former ISP if
you don't want them, then either run the following fix from Kelly's site:

Change Provided By in IE
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

or if you have Spyware Blaster installed, you can change the title bar in IE
by clicking on Tools > Misc IE settings and entering a text of your own.

HTH

Colin.

Thanks for your suggestion. It worked for IE6! However, I still have the
same situation for Outlook Express 6.

Please advise.

Robert,

To manually remove the Outlook Express branding, see SFNL page:
http://www.scotsnewsletter.com/best_of/ispbrnds.htm#outlookexpress

Or, try Doug's VBScript available in the link which Carey provided.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. It worked! The branding has been
removed.

Thanks. I had followed up with Carey Frisch's suggestion and used the Doug
Knox VBScript method and it worked for Outlook Express.
This was done after I had already removed the ISP branding using your
previous reply suggestion to enter the command through Start/Run.
So when running the VBScript, it indicated branding had already been removed
(for IE).

In summary, both IE and OE branding have been removed. Thanks again.
