Hello,
I am a fledgling IT professional with a problem a
little over my head. I have a friend who is running XP
Home on a laptop. He is on the opposite coast, so any
further info on the exact system specs or errors received
will take a day or so, but are acquirable. He soon will
have PC Anywhere so I can get on to nose around myself,
but I've seen the problem before and have no idea what
causes it.
THE PROBLEM:
What's happening is that Windows Help is starting
up uninvited, i.e., when you click on a directory in
Windows Explorer or an email in Outlook. Windows Help
wants to be in on the action.
To make it worse, I have no idea how to search for
this on the web. If you have any experience with this
phenomenon, that would be great. Any idea how to formulate
an effective google search to find the answers would also
be a great help. Please tell me what an ID10T I am and how
simple this problem is to fix.
Thanks,
John
